I made the following rules for my self: I don’t want to spend more than 4 hours per week blogging and setting up new experiments. However, I want to report back what I find in the hope that it will be useful for others, and well, because it’s kind of fun.

So I went ahead and bought this domain on Namecheap and signed up for a shared hosting package. I also decided to sign up at shareasale.com, since some of the ideas I’ve seen often revolve around affiliate marketing.

So far I’ve spent:

• $5.98 to register my domain for 1 year, which I thought was actually a pretty cool one
• $34.88 for 1 year of shared hosting. There are certainly cheaper options out there, but I wanted a decent level of control and flexibility, so this was a good choice for me.
